🔽 Step 1: Download the App
- Visit the official DEX download page.
- Download the DEX APK file to your device.
- Wait until the download is complete.
📲 Installation on Android Mobile
Step 2: Enable Installation from Unknown Sources
Since the app is not from the Google Play Store:
- Go to Settings → Security / Privacy
- Tap Install unknown apps
- Select your browser (Chrome, Edge, etc.)
- Enable “Allow from this source.”
Step 3: Install the APK
- Open the downloaded APK file (from Downloads).
- Tap Install
- Wait for installation to complete.
- Tap Open to launch DEX.
📺 Installation on Android TV
Step 2: Transfer the APK
You can transfer the APK using:
- USB drive
- Cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox)
- File transfer apps
Step 3: Install a File Manager (if needed)
If your TV does not have a file browser, install:
- CX File Manager
Step 4: Enable Unknown Sources
- Go to Settings → Device Preferences → Security & Restrictions
- Open Unknown Sources
- Enable it for your file manager (e.g., CX File Manager)
Step 5: Install the APK
- Open CX File Manager
- Navigate to the APK file location (USB / Downloads)
- Select the APK
- Click Install
- Open the app after installation
⚠️ If Google Play Protect Blocks the App
Sometimes Google Play Protect may show a warning like:
“This app may be harmful.”
To Bypass Play Protect:
- When the warning appears, tap “More details.”
- Tap “Install anyway.”
If you don’t see that option:
- Open Google Play Store
- Tap your profile icon → Play Protect
- Tap Settings (⚙️ icon)
- Turn OFF:
- Scan apps with Play Protect
- Try installing the APK again
📂 Accessing APK Files (Optional)
If you cannot find your downloaded file:
- Use CX File Manager
- Navigate to:
- Downloads folder
- USB storage
- Internal storage
🔒 Important Notes
- Always download APK from the official DEX website only.
- Do not install from unknown third-party sources unless you know the source.
Keep your device security settings restored after installation (optional but recommended).
